Ongoing Projects

The team of journalistic ethics of GRP (Group for Research in Journalism UPF) was formally incorporated as an associate member of the project MediaAct (Media and Accountability Transparece in Europe), carried out in fourteen countries and funded by the EU.

The participation in this project is the result of experience as a team coordinator for more than three years of R & D project “Journalistic Ethics and Excellence” (a research financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation). After finishing that project, with the aim of extending this research at European level in July 2010, we began formal talks with the project Media ACT managers for our incorporation as a Spanish partner in this competitive research funded by the European Union. At present (autumn 2011) the addition is already a fact. When we belong as associate members, since the formation of the consortium and the budget allocation had been made previously, but enjoy the same consideration as the other consortium members with regard to our scientific and methodological implications.
